Herby Turkey burgers

I love a good burger because they are quick and easy to make and, like many of my recipes, they come together in one bowl. To make them in a flash, you can pulse all of the herbs and garlic in a food processor to cut out any chopping.Break these out for grilling season or at home grilling on your cast iron pan.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground turkey - you can use ground chicken, or any other ground meat if you’d prefer
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
3 scallions, thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon of salt
black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
In a large mixing bowl combine 1 pound ground turkey, 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 3 sliced scallions, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well until all the herbs are evenly distributed throughout the meat mixture.

Heat a cast iron or grill pan on medium heat - if you want to grill outdoors fire up that grill!

To form the burgers, wet your hands slightly with warm water and then form the patties. I like to make mine small so I usually use 1/4 cup measurement.

Add a splash of oil to the pan if indoor grilling and then place the turkey burgers on the hot pan. Cook for about 4-6 minutes per side.

Enjoy over salads or in a bun.
